Cancer Relay for Life

Calling all Cancer Survivors and people who want to destroy cancer.  Debbie Teal will Captain a Team called Lutheran Crusaders Against Cancer at the American Cancer Society Lilburn Relay Rally on Friday, April 27th at Lilburn City Park from 5 pm-9:30 pm.  There is be an informational pamphlet in the Narthex.  Those who want to fundraise, or be registered as a Survivor, enter this website and click on Join This Relay at by creating a LogIn & Password and join our Team.   Those who want to participate in the Survivor’s dinner and Survivor’s lap should contact Debbie by March 20th so that you can become registered and your shirt size can be ordered. If you want to register via a form, there will be a few forms in the Narthex to fill out, which you can give to Debbie in person or put in her Church Council slot on the wall in the office.   If you have any questions, Debbie can be reached at 770.624.1487.

COOP Donations Still Requested

Amazing Grace is currently requesting donations of liquid dish detergent, dish washing pods, laundry detergent – powder, liquid, or pods. Donations can be brought into the church office throughout the week or on Sundays.

Hunger Walk

The annual Hunger Walk will be on Sunday, February 25 @ Turner Field.  If you would like to participate, please sign-up on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex or/and contact Trish Ladd-Thomas, Amazing Grace’s Team Captain. Walkers/Runners will be accepting sponsored donations from any members that do not wish to Walk.  Thank you.

As a reminder, we are always ready to receive your donations of canned and/or boxed goods for the Lawrenceville COOP.  We can also use plastic grocery bags.  Please place any of these items underneath the Cross table in the Narthex or in the closet in the Narthex.  Monetary checks are always welcome.  Just make your check out to Amazing Grace and indicate Lawrenceville COOP on the memo line.  Your donation will be sent to the COOP.

Visitation Ministry Opportunity



Amazing Grace’s Visitation Ministry provides companionship through monthly visits to those who are unable to come to worship services.  We also offer Holy Communion.  Training & Instructions will be provided.  If you are interested or have any questions about this ministry, please contact the church office at the address of or call 770.381.1293 for more details.

Grace Bags Ministry


Do you know we have Grace Bags, which are medium size Ziploc bags filled with small items of food and some daily necessities and a lot of love, for handing out to those who are in need.  To help put together these bags, please contact Lud in person or via email,  To purchase a bag(s), come by @ any time to pick them up.  They are here in the Narthex.  The cost is $5, to cover the supplies.




The Chemo Caps ministry has resumed.  Chemo Caps is a ministry of knitters and crocheters who make colorful caps for newborn babies and people who have gone through cancer.  We have some patterns available, but many more are available on the internet.  We will teach knitting and/or crocheting to anyone who is interested in becoming involved in this ministry.  If you are interested, please contact Debi Linke at or 678-689-7571.
